This past Saturday October 29th we hosted our 3rd Annual Howl-o-Ween Unleashed Pup Costume Party & Parade with co-host Helmut the Pug (@helmutthepug) – Toronto’s ONLY pup costume parade!

It was a howling success and saw many of our Unleashed pack members and community clad in the most adorable and hilarious costumes as we paraded around the Ossington and Trinity Bellwoods neighbourhood. We culminated the festivities with a Pug meet-up hosted by Helmut The Pug at Trinity Bellwood’s Dog Bowl which was PUGTASTIC!

The costume party started at Unleashed in the City at noon where we had a green carpet set-up out front for photo-ops, coffee for the humans provided by local company Rescue Coffee Co. (with proceeds going to Save our Scruff) and a Pup Photo Booth set-up with a tickle trunk for guests and their dogs to play dress up with (if they weren’t already!) all portraits were shot by pet photographer Pete Thorne of Old Faithful Photo!

There was also a Canine Costume Contest with categories ranging from: Spookiest, Cutest, Funniest, Best Duo and Best Overall with prizes provided by local companies, such as Babes & Barks, Loyal Canine Co., Treats Happen and Unleashed’s own pack brand, Unleashed Outfitters.

We also partnered with non-profit dog rescue organization Save our Scruff to help bring awareness to the cause. During the party we had donation boxes scattered around the space to assist in raising funds for the cause, as well as a merch table set-up to sell their line of SOS branded apparel with 100% of proceeds going to dogs in need!
